Dedham Greenspace: June Monthly Meeting

Come hear Emily Norton, Executive Director at Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) - one of the oldest watershed organizations in the country. Formed in 1965 by a group of concerned citizens who raised alarm about the declining health of the Charles River.

In the 60 years since its founding, CRWA has guided the transformation of our river from the “Dirty Water” of the past–––rife with industrial pollution, sewage, trash, and even cars––to the Charles River we know and love today, one of the cleanest, most celebrated urban rivers in the country. Come be inspired!

Dedham Greenspace Working Meeting

Join us for a hands-on session of the Dedham Greenspace Coalition to plan upcoming events, spark new ideas (community paddle, anyone?), and coordinate outreach, fundraising, and social media. We know there’s a lot of talent and energy in this group—this is a chance to plug in where it fits you best.

We’re eager to pull together a core team interested in helping us out on an ongoing basis.
Reynolds TLC Studios, 390 Washington St., Dedham Square

Monthly Meeting

Join us for our March meeting where we’ll have special guests speaking from the Nature for MA Coalition. Nature for Massachusetts is a coalition of over 50 environmental, conservation, and community organizations aiming to secure $100 million in annual, dedicated funding for land and water protection. They’re advocating for the "Nature for All" bill (H.901/S.2571) and a 2026 ballot initiative to fund, without raising taxes, climate resilience, parks, and habitat restoration.

The coalition is supported by organizations including Mass Audubon, The Nature Conservancy, Trust for Public Land, Environmental League of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Rivers Alliance, and others.
